This is the first entrepreneurial mitigation bank in US history to transfer credits in a Corps permitted bank. This site was previously a non-functioning wetland dominated by melaleuca trees, ditched and farmed for years, and then abandoned. The main goal is to correct past failures of mitigation. The functional assessment method used is Integrated Functional Index.
