The FWC oversees activities such as wildlife and freshwater fisheries management, hunting and fishing licensing, endangered species protection, invasive species control, boating safety, habitat restoration, and public education about conservation. It also manages over 6 million acres of public lands designated as Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs), providing opportunities for outdoor recreation, research, and sustainable resource use.
